Peter Oplot a resident of Luzira in Kampala city drove Aleper Simon Peter Rock (ASPRO) to his home in Loputuk cell, Kangole town Council Napak district.
According to Opolot they arrived at home at around 3pm, on Saturday they for a meeting in Moroto town (about the Harmonization of Tepth community and Tororo Cement factory).
They went for another meeting on Sunday.
On Monday morning, he left for town alone and Opolot drove the wife to her work place at Napak district headquarters.
They came back at around 7:30pm in the evening, Aleper later on at around 8:00pm came back with another person (only Identified as Asiyo) driving him.
“Me I knew the next journey was Tuesday, but where the canes came was a program of CEC meeting”,Opolot narrates.
Opolot adds that Aleper gave him a program of takin his other car for Mechanical repair, thats how I remained behind.
At around 10pm, Opolot called to ask for the fuel, late Aleper promised to send money on Tuesday morning, that’s the last time I talked to him.
“When I woke up on Tuesday morning, I looked for the way how to start the car, I got a message that your Boss has got an accident and I could not believe it until someone showed me Photo,thats when a believed that is gone”.Opolot explained.
“My separation with him was because of this car which was supposed to be taken for mechanical repairs in Kampala”, Opolot added.
Mourners in Karamoja have gathered at Late Aleper ‘s home in Loputuk cell,Kangole town council ,Napak district.
His burial is slated on Tuesday next week.
