Police in Amudat District have arrested two suspects over alleged theft of Parish Development Model (PDM) funds in Loroo Sub-County, Amudat District .
The parish chief for Namusing and Loroo parishes Partany Samuel, aged 36 Resident of Loroo village and Loroo parish PDM SACCO sectary, Tikech Sagal Elijah, 29, aresident of Katukumwok Village.
On 16 June 2026 at 1700hrs, the Gombolola Internal Security Officer for Loroo Sub-County was verifying PDM beneficiaries for 2024 for Katukumwok Village, Loroo Parish. During the exercise, he met Ngiroo Paul Atubor aged 73, a peasant farmer and resident of the same village.
PDM records indicated Mr. Atubor had received UGX 1,000,000. However, during interaction, he denied receiving any PDM money. The matter was reported at Loroo Police Station.
A case of theft of PDM cash was registered under SD Ref 12/16/6/2026 and suspects registered statements.
Both suspects are detained at Amudat CPS as inquires is still on.
The alleged offence is said to have occurred in 2024.
