KARENGA
After over twenty days NRM supporters in Karenga district have finally received party primaries results for Members of parliament flag bearers.
The part primaries for MPS were conducted on on 17th, last month and results were released on 5th and 6th this month.
The declaration form dated 6th, August 2025, Dr, Tanga Odoi, the NRM Electoral chairperson declared the state minister for ethics and integrity and incumbent, Rose Lily Akello as the NRM Flag bearer for Karenga Woman MP Seat after scoring 9,020 votes (51 percent).
Doreen Imen became second 8,468 votes (48.4 percent)
In another declaration form, Dr. Tanga Odoi declared Batoom Ben Koryang (INCUMBET)as the party flag bear for Dodoth west Constituency after garnering 4,224 votes (36.93 percent).
His closest competitor Felix Mark Lochale ,who is the current district Chairperson scored 3,994 votes (34.92 percent).
Lodou Dida Julius became third with 3,318 votes (28.15percent).
In declaration form dated 5th August,Tanga odoi declared Lokwang Phillip Ilukol who scored 2,518 votes (52.12 percent) as the flag bearer Napore west member of Parliament.
Loluk Fidelis Logwee became second with 2,2979 votes (47.17 percent) and Logwe John Branda scored 34 votes which is 0.70 percent.
According to sources which preferred anonymous, results from most polling stations from Kakwang and Lobalangit sub counties were not tallied.
Anyway, this did not please most of the NRM Supporters and these are some of their comments in one of the What app groups in Karamoja.

“Personally, I will advise people of Karenga to accept which ever outcome of the result now but prove to the all Karamoja in the general elections that they elect their preferred candidate regardless of the party”. One wrote.
Another wrote “Not just leaving like that let the voters decide, leaving old trumpets that no longer useful for ceremonies to be considered useful forcefully isn’t right at all”.
